Paul McGowan is an Edmonton based musician and songwriter who sings and plays guitar, piano, djembe and clarinet. Paul sings and plays lead guitar with The McGowan Family Band, Big River and Knee Deep In Grass. Paul also plays electric and acoustic guitars with many different friends and as a solo act. He loves jambands, music festivals, mountains, and camping in the snow. 

As middle brother of five siblings, Mark has been influenced by new and old. He has a wide range of musical influences and continues to progress in new styles and techniques. Thought of by most as The McGowan Family Band drummer, Mark also plays guitar and sings in the band.  Mark is proud father to son Jake Ash McGowan (JAM) born in 2009,  and the entire family is more than thrilled to have a new member. 

Sean McGowan is the youngest of the three McGowan brothers, and loves playing music with his family. He sings, plays guitar, bass, clarinet, piano, and experiments with electronic sounds. Sean is also an instrument repair technician and a recording engineer with McGowan Family Productions. His hard work and dedication have proved him to be a great force in The McGowan Family Band, and when he's rocking out hard you can't help but to smile with him. 

Sean Brewer comes from a talented musical family, and adds rich texture to The McGowan Family Band's sound through his bass, guitar and banjo playing. Sean is a great songwriter, and also fronts his own band The Switchmen while also drumming in Mmmberta. He has been a part of the Edmonton music scene for over 11 years, playing in the Fabulous Beefeeders, the Uncas, Red Ram, and often backing up other artists including Ayla Brook, Darrek Anderson,  and his father's projects Smoked Folk and The Last. 

Chris Kerr is an outstanding drummer, and his hand drumming and percussion skills add colourful rhythm and flavour to The McGowan Family Band's sound. Chris often calls himself "the laziest man in show business", but he is quite the opposite. He is a family man who works very hard at his music, and continually creates innovative rhythms and  beats that are moving and charasmatic. Chris also plays drums in Big River and Knee Deep In Grass.
